Project Brasserie Côte
Location
Bloor Street West, Toronto

Brasserie Côte is the result of a complete transformation of the former By the Way Café, reimagined as a contemporary French brasserie. McWood played a key role in realizing the client's vision of an elegant European bistro with the functionality of a modern restaurant.

The window mullions and feature mirror wall were designed to enhance natural light, create depth, and reinforce the restaurant's distinctive identity, combining custom millwork with sourced vintage lighting. McWood also designed and fabricated the bar and bar back, service area cabinetry, patio railings, and hand-painted signage, creating a cohesive material and visual language throughout. This project is part of an ongoing creative partnership with the Brasserie Côte ownership team, following previous collaborations on Le Tambour Tavern, Hearts, and Côte de Boeuf.
